Sorry to miss hooking up with you guys. Got back in town late Saturday afternoon after 15 days and ~5,000 miles (averaged 24 mgh for the trip) in "The Beast". What a GREAT road car...!!!

. Have to agree - a fantastic road car! The only problem I had was that I never wanted to stop!

There are some more pics, but I didn't want to post too many. Notice in the second one how Bob is gazing longingly at the black car...

ya, there is nothing better looking than a CLEAN black corvette!

Wait just one minute. I wasn't looking at your Z I was looking at your beautiful wife to be!!!

I never did get a chance to show you that WHITE Z's are faster than the everyday black (or red) ones.......All in all, we had a wonderful time with you two

Actually I have to thank Bob for that too - he scooted out to our hotel with a plethora of cleaning gear to help after our drive down and even helped clean! As my 'future wife' put it - "what a gent!"

long distance rides got me started on the love affair with the car.

first day I drove one I went 700 miles. been on the road ever since.

I think I now have about 50k miles total spread against 4 ZR-1s. every one of them is a really special car.
