Has anyone upgraded the stock bulb of 34 watts in the driving lamps?
Thanks for your time. George

i dont know either but would sure like to. i always use just the driving lights at night.....gives it a much meaner lower look. and i have thought about getting a little brighter lights so i dont have to worry about the po-po pulling me over.

you can put in 50wat driving lights plus you can adjust them to project out farther the stk bulb is part number 880 the 50 watt is 885. you must though put a 15amp fuse in place of the 10 amp fuse . i drive around with the driving lights on all the time since i have changed over and readjusted them. it really looks cool now

A 15 amp fuse in place of a 10 amp is like the old penny in the fusebox
trick. The wiring was engineered for the original current load and increasing the current "might" be OK, but a quick check of the wiring to make sure it's not getting too warm is in order. Or check the shop manual wiring diagrams to see what gauge wire is used. It might be adequate but
then again ...

maybe your playing devils advocate .but i can assure you that it was well researched it has even come out oin a little book called 101 corvette projects. it also an engeneering faCT TO OVERSIZE THE WIRING to take double the load to take the powerspike when a fuse blows

no the fuse is exactly the same just has a higher amp rating . the wire is no problem. it can handle twice the amps before being a problem. . remember you are only raising the fuse 5 amps. i have had this change in effect for 2 years with no problems.

Did mine, works and looks great... ....a very simple mod that is very effective. It's written up in "101 Projects for your Vette" book, that's where I found it.
