I am a brand new 1995 ZR1 owner and hunting down a community of like-minded enthusiasts. Everything I have found online suggests this is THE place to be. I have spent several hours digging through the treasure chest of tech information and have found great answers to my newbie questions. I am concerned that there does not seem to be much recent posting. Does joining the registry get access to private spaces that are more active? Is the winter a slow time for folks with their cars tucked away in warm garages? Are there other places on the web I should be joining as well?
I don?t have a ton of issues to resolve so far, but I am sure I will as I plan to keep this car for a long time. Thanks to everyone who has spent so much time posting such amazing information. |

Welcome to the group and enjoy that ZR-1! Don't be shy if you have questions. You will find the group has faced nearly every imaginable, and some unimaginable concerns over the 35 years that this magnificent car has been around. Exercise those secondaries! ![]() Marty |

Welcome! I'm actually planning on bringing my car home from storage this coming weekend. I live near Marc Haibeck and he just serviced a few items for me so I'm all ready for the weather to turn. When you get the opportunity, get a drive in and enjoy the miles. Look forward to hearing about your new ride!

Welcome.
It's a quite time of year. This is the only Corvette related forum I belong to in the 12 years I've owned my '90. |

Thanks for the hospitality! I stumbled across a one owner black on black 1995 with 36k miles totally unintentionally and just had to buy it. All the cars I was looking for cost three times the price for a fraction of the performance. A C4 ZR1 is the best bargain and the biggest secret in the collector car world right now. It is in almost perfect condition and totally unmolested except for an aftermarket ECM chip (only knew to check for this because of this site). It even has a ZR1 registry decal from 1997! Of course the windshield is showing some haze around the edges and some of the weatherstrip needs to be replaced, but it runs great and shifts like butter. I feel like the luckiest guy in the car hobby. First big outing for the car will be five laps of Texas Motor Speedway with my local car club next month.

I was considering BMW 850s, Porsche 930?s, BMW 2002?s and early M cars, early Sallen Mustangs and such. I had mostly stuck to 60s and 70s muscle but I wanted to move into more modern cars that you can drive long distances and that actually handle like modern cars. I had heard of ZR1s but assumed they would cost much more than they did. They also come with about every option you might want which you can?t say about the cars I mentioned above.

Nice I have an 850CSI heavy car fast on the HWY, Definity needs to be a manual but the performance isn't like a ZR1.
