Still running rough[emoji35][emoji30][emoji19]
After replacing the cam positioning sensor that I got from Jagpanzer on the registry(thank you!) my 90 Zr-1 ran great and check engine light went off and code cleared. Then, shortly after it started running rough again. Tapped on the E.C.M and it ran smooth...for a short time. Had to limp it home, and it would not go into full power mode, regardless of where I turned the valet key. Can't find an E.C.M. for it. A guy said he would rebuild it for $600. Ugh. Not sure Bout then. Getting nickel and dimed to death lately with only 24k miles on it[emoji19]

Do this ^. Check for codes with a code reader or short the ALDL pins. Turn ignition to ON position but Don?t Start. Does CEL light flash once? If it does, ECM checks out.

Re: Still running rough[emoji35][emoji30][emoji19]
First remove each of the colored connectors. Spray all with electrical contact cleaner. Reinsert. Next remove the small PROM cover. Remove the blue prom. Spray. Reinsert. Chances are good it is just a connection. Tug a bit on each of the wires to make sure they are connected well. Another option is to send it to Marc Haibeck for repair. Tapping it sure seems like a poor connection or just a failed solder joint inside. 35 year old parts need a little love. Be patient. Buying a 35 year old replacement can buy you just another set of problems.
