Hey guys,
It appears that one tire pressure sensor has come loose and is no longer fixed in place properly. I'm not sure how they attach to the wheel, is there a mount or similar that can be replaced on a '90? ~B |

I?m fairly certain that they?re one big band clam. Do yourself a favor and take them off, you don?t need them and it helps with balancing

I'd like to keep them though if I can fix it. Can I just get a new band or will I need a whole new sensor? ~B |

Usually the plastic tabs on the sensors where the band attaches to it is where the failure occurs.
Repairs are not easy or long lasting as the the plastic is hard and brittle. I favor removing them entirely. If one lets go at high speed, you will clench tightly. Save yourself the drama and risk. Remove them. Add any current day aftermarket ones that screw on the valve stem and communicate with your phone. The stock ones were good in the day, but only tell you low pressure, but not which tire like the newer ones do. ![]() Marty |

If the car is a driver I'd think the newer technology much more desired. |

With those screw-on-valve-stem sensors you have to balance the wheels after they are installed to get it right.
