I guess it wouldn't be a ZR-1 without an oil leak.
Parked inside since the weekend, and I took a look at her today. Found a nice puddle under the front of the engine. It already has Jerrys oil cooler lines, so I doubt it is that. Was pretty dark too, so I'll have to check again in the AM.
Only thing I can imagine is engine oil, or PS fluid?

Check oil pump access cover and cam sensor seal. I had both happening at the same time.

Are they easily repairable, or is it a special part required, otherwise known as another Jerrys order?

Could be.
I'll know more tomorrow. What's on the passenger side?

Re: I guess it wouldn't be a ZR-1 without an oil leak.
On the oil filter housing facing forward low an hidden - oil temp sensor
On top of oil filter housing - oil pressure sensor Right side of filter housing facing down - low oil pressure warning sensor Under and behind low oil pressure sensor - cam chain tensioner port Above oil pan - crankshaft sensor Under the crankshaft sensor, on the oil pan - low oil level sensor Of course, oil pan gasket can be a source of oil leak also. Oil leak can be any of above or combination of above locations. |

Been cold, snowy and miserable, so I finally got out today to take a look at her. I had put a fresh piece of cardboard underneath to get a better feel for where the leak was, and how much was leaking.
So what did I find today? Yup, a completely dry piece of cardboard. Not a drop on it. Great.

Re: I guess it wouldn't be a ZR-1 without an oil leak.
I had I leak on my car since I got it..
I found the Breather box bolts loose, and the gasket was hard as a rock, replaced the gasket and used blue loctite on the bolts.. I thought it was fixed, but leak was still there, but less. For me it ended up being the Crank Sensor.. Now the car currently does not leak

Re: I guess it wouldn't be a ZR-1 without an oil leak.
I agree w/ Jeff.
Just to add: in my case the injector housing bolts too were not anywhere near torque spec. If you have oil in the valley, chances are it is either the breather box (as Jeff said) OR those IHs. New gaskets and some BLUE LOCTITE on the bolts will solve those issues! (Be sure to use the (FSM) torque sequencing on the IHs

Re: I guess it wouldn't be a ZR-1 without an oil leak.
Oil leak has gone from a handful of spots under the car to a nice puddle now. Going to sickbay on Friday for a checkup. I'll definitely give everyone's comments to him to help narrow it down.
The oil was down a quart and change, so I topped it up, and the leak seemed to get bigger. Does that suggest any specific spot to look at?
