'89 Active Prototype
Correction, it's a '90 not a 89' Active car available for interested party.
Saw this posted over on the CF. Not my car, but sure wish it could be, although I suspect tons of stuff are "one off" items. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...uspension.html Looks to be car #EX5884, pics over at Tyler Townsley website: http://thepandatrap.com/gallery/index.php/ZR-1s/active5 http://thepandatrap.com/gallery/index.php/ZR-1s/active4 http://thepandatrap.com/gallery/index.php/ZR-1s/active6 http://thepandatrap.com/gallery/inde...ZR-1s/active11 'Crabs

Re: '89 Active Prototype
Don't always bet they were all crushed. The black car does not look crushed and I do remember GM selling a couple from the Heritage Collection. Just like all the 88 KoH cars were claimed to be crushed and two escaped.

Wrong cars, those were the test mules taken to England for fitting and testing. They were crushed rather than shipping them back to the US. The 25 Active cars were built and tested here in the US. The idea was to make 200, charge an additional $39,000 on top of the already expensive ZR1. Allegedly, after testing and determining the concept overly complex and ultimately unprofitable, all were crushed........ however, obviously at least 2 were squirreled away. This one and the other that was part of the Heritage collection that was sold at Barrett Jackson for $150,700 in 2017. https://www.supercars.net/blog/1969-...y-zl1-gallery/ They definitely packed a LOT of stuff under the hood, I can only imagine how long it would take to change spark plugs, or do anything under the hood. I'm not sure I'd park it and wax it or drive it. 'Crabs

Re: '89 Active Prototype
Kind of a sketchy ad. You?d think he?d have some pictures of the active suspension gear.

Re: '89 Active Prototype
I talked with him a few months ago. He replaced the injectors and got it running, at least. I think Tony Gaples bought the car that sold out of the GM Heritage collection at Barrett Jackson a few years ago. No idea where this one came from.
