Default Shout out to Seat Doctors (bolster wear repaired)

My red-on-red '91 had some leather scuff marks on the driver side seat bolster (transparently identified by the seller before I bought it). Did a bit of internet searching and decided to try a leather dye product from a company called Seat Doctors - basically their selling point was that they would custom match the color to your VIN number and interior code.

See below the before and after pics of the bolster. I just followed their YouTube instructions, nothing special. BTW the color looks different in the after pic but that is just an artifact of the lighting - the color match is actually perfect.

Cost was $26 including shipping for the smallest quantity - 4 oz. I applied 7 coats of the stuff and barely made a dent in the amount left. I may choose to refresh my entire seat(s) with it although they didn't really look bad at all other than this bolster.

I'm happy...

Excellent! Very good to know. I'll keep them in mind.

Put some seat cover over that or it will keep on wearing. I put a big piece of foam covering the bolster then put the cover over that, seat bolster looks new after 25,000 miles. I?d post some pictures but it?s a pain in the a$$on this site.
