Pete's Handy Work
Got my intake and injector housings back today. Cleaned them up tonight and installed the IH O Rings... Its a shame nobody will be able to see Pete's porting job. Thanks Pete... Cant wait to get it all back together... hopefully this weekend.

Re: Pete's Handy Work
I am well aware this is a slippery slope.... I'm hoping this combined with a 4:10 rear gear will satisfy my needs... hoping...

Re: Pete's Handy Work
Pete's top-end porting, AND 410s! It will be a totally different animal! You won't believe the difference, the first time you "whack" it (as Pete says!).
This is how the LT5 should have come from the factory. I think that is safe to say, looking at the gen-II and then the gen-III versions. Without cams or TB porting, mine dynoed at 432 rwhp (approx 508 @ the crank) without changing the stock idle or mpg, up from ~327 wheel hp stock. That's quite a trick - and testimony for Marc and Pete as to some of the advantages of the DOHC platform.

Where are we sourcing them nowadays and what do you have to do to recalibrate the speedometer?

Re: Pete's Handy Work
I'm interested too. Talked to Steve @ Crossed Flags, and he only recommended up to 3.90s as he no longer has a good source for the 4.10s. And yes, you have to change the speedo gear to correct for the rear gears. I know Haibeck lists them.

Re: Pete's Handy Work
I believe Marc also has an electronic device to correct the speedo reading.
Recently I installed 4.10s in my 92, but due to the 19” Z06 wheels on the rear, I continue to use the stock speedo. My speedo reads about 2-3mph higher than actual as measured by GPS. The combo of gears and taller wheels/tires comes out to be about a 3.53:1. Close enough for horseshoes and handgrenades in my book. Not worth the. Other
