The "Pizza Box"
When we bought "The Beast" last fall there was a complete disconnect with the previous owner. He refused to acknowledge any inquiries about the car that we passed through the dealership's sales staff regarding the car's documentation, service history, etc. This bugged the heck out of me so I did a little digging and just after the 1st of the year I sent him a letter politely asking that if he ever decided to part company with anything he had retained related to the car to please let us know.
The salesman we dealt with just happens to attend the same church we do. After the service this morning he walked up to me with a smile on his face and handed me a black case with a C4 and ZR-1 logos on the front. He said the previous owner had been in the dealership late last week and dropped this off at his desk. I must have looked pretty silly standing there with my jaw on the ground! It looks like all the "stuff" is in there (coffee table book, driver's manual, owner's manual, video, warranty stuff, both copies of the window sticker, etc.) UNREAL...!!! I'd pretty much given up on it. So whoever thinks that the "Easter Bunny" doesn't bring presents needs to rethink their position...!!! btw - any original owners out there? Was the video in shrink wrap when your "Pizza Box" first arrived? Just curious.

Re: The "Pizza Box"
That is a great story and I am happy to see that the original owner and the salesman both took the time and effort to get it to you.

Re: The "Pizza Box"
That's very cool. I pulled out my pizza box this weekend going through and documenting the paperwork and putting together a time line history of my car. The box is a neat part of the car's history.
