Ye Old Wheel Shop is history
I was just advised by Dan of Wazoo that Ye Old Wheel Shop in Elkridge, MD is no more !!! Apparently they sold the business, building, and property and are no longer open for business. Looks like we have to find another tire place we can depend upon. This is a bummer, many ZR-1 Registry members sent in expensive wheels for repair or reconditioning.

I used these guys up here in CT. They did a super job restoring my A-Molds.

That is a shame for sure. When I worked for a local independent tire dealer from 82-90 we used their shop on Crain Hwy in Glen Burnie, MD. for customers with curbed or bent alloy wheels. There is a place called Alloy Wheel Repair Specialist in Gaithersburg, MD. (240)207-3116 , 24221 Laytonsville ,Rd. Unit B

I have a really good place in Dallas, but of course you'd have to ship to them: Wheel Repair Solutions
They are used by a lot of the high end car dealers in DFW (Ferrari, Porsche, etc) as well as Discount Tire. I just had them repair a crack in one of the wheels on my daily driver C7. |

Too bad. Hardly anyone will mess with magnesium wheels. Now I wish I’d already sent my Dymags to them. Rats.

I have a few friends that do vintage race car support(including Indy Car) will ask them if they know of anyone.

I have used SABS 9331 Ponderosa Ln, Houston, TX 7707 a number of times, and they have always done good wheel refinishing work, as well as top notch body work. The redid the shadow chrome wheels for my M5, the OZ Leggeras I had on a Subaru and the wheels on a friends Boss Mustang. They do not have a website that I know of,
