Default Front shock question..

Going to change the front shocks on my 91...Don't want to damage the actuator ...How does it come off ? Straight pull ? Twist and pull ?..

To remove the actuator (motor on top) Remove the clip at the base and just lift off.

Not sure, I know they'll fit and that the 93 had a different program.

I'm not sure it will fit. The 89-92 had a similar spec brass "nut" on the top and the 93-95 had a different size. I'm not sure if you have to swap actuators (and will they work with "the box" or if you can swap out "nuts?"

My understanding is there are (2) series of shocks 89-91 and 92-95. The difference is in the amount of rotation the adjustment gear on the top of the shock has. 92-95 have less rotation. You should be able to confirm the amount of rotation between the (2) types of shocks. Bilstein recently made a production run and many retailers still have them in stock.

If you decide to go with the later shocks, I may have a controller that will work for you.
It is controller # 22114335. Would need to do some research to be positive it is for the '92-'95 shocks. First indications are that it is. Again, need to be sure.
If you need it let me know. We will work something out.
