Saturday Poker Run at the Gathering
Who is interested in a Poker Run on Saturday during The Gathering? We think a $20 entry fee would be nice and the driving route would be ~150 miles or so...please chime in! Thanks!

Re: Saturday Poker Run at the Gathering
Here are a few links that explain what it's all about...basically you play poker by collecting ONE card at each of 5 or 7 stops (poker is either a 5 or 7 card game). At the end the hands are compared and the best hand wins the $. We set up several locations along a pre-planned route and provide each location with a deck of cards. When you arrive at the stop...you receive ONE card...(most of the places will be restaurants or something like that...maybe a gas station)...the route will be ~150 miles and will take you through some very nice countryside and then back into Bowling Green for the final stop. If everyone donates say $20 and we get 20 people to sign up...then the "POT" that is up for grabs will be $400.

Re: Saturday Poker Run at the Gathering
Sounds fun! Though I'd probably rather pay more like $10 since it would seem that money isn't actually going towards any costs. Count me in either way though.

Re: Saturday Poker Run at the Gathering
I'm IN!! I agree that we keep it affordable but like any poker run, we can vote the "ante" amount based on the amount of participants.
let's get this moving, Sat morning, but not too early, maybe 9 or 9:30 I have to be back for the ZR-1 Net Registry meeting in the afternoon. folks, please sign up for the event and the drags. it's less than a month away, time to finalize BG. hope to see you there, I'll be down wed morning for racing, and weather permitting, we are going racing, no exception. come on out!! this is a major event for us, and it's going to be a blast!
