I just purchased a new dash pad for my '91. But the carpet color is not the same as mine. So knee Bolster carpet has to go.
What is the easiest/best way to remove the old carpet panel from the dash pad?

The glue GM used on this is pretty brutal as far as trying to get it to release. I’d try and use something that’s not lacquer thinner based or anything that would harm the paint on the dash. I’d try something like GOOF OFF or something like that,if it works it might take awhile.

Very!!!! Judicious use of a heat gun. I tried to dye mine, didn’t come out to well. I will be replacing it this winter.
