LT5 swap
How it going ladies and gents.. first of all I’m new to this forum I’m always on Ls1tech. I’m here because I need your help. I just recently traded an Ls1 setup for a complete good condition LT5 outta of a 94 ZR1. It’s complete minus the ECU and flywheel clutch set up and transmission. So first question I have an Ls1 T56 outta of a 4th fbody from the researched I’ve seem that I would have to swap out my input shaft, and also one hole on the bell housing doesn’t lined up. Is there a solution beside swapping over to a ZF tranny? Unless some want to trade.. and also were can I get an ECU? Any sponsors venders here? This engine will be going on a 3rd gen trans am thanks in advance!

Umm.....
I may be wrong....but an ecu might be a problem. I think your best bet there is calling Marc Haibec. |

Re: LT5 swap
Frank’s right
Because you don’t have all the vehicle interfaces to worry about you can go with a more modern aftermarket ECU like from DIY http://www.megasquirtpnp.com/docs/mspnp_gP_zr9195.php

Re: LT5 swap
Do yourself a favor and speak directly with the guys at DIY Autotune. They are quite familiar with the LT5 and can probably fix you up with a lower cost engine control unit that does not include all the extra features and input/outputs necessary to make it compatible with the ZR-1 Corvette.

I don't think there would be any cost savings in adding work to remove features that are really just part of the programming, which already exists. They still have to use the same hardware. |

Re: LT5 swap
For this project he wouldn’t necessarily need the the special case and harness plugs like DIY provides for C4 ZR-1 backfits Image1536153780.705900.jpg
