Default A couple of maintenance observations

Hey Guys,
I've run across a couple of things that might save some time if you ever get into this project.
I removed the DCM and 4 speakers assemblys, sent them to Dr. Don and have them re-installed. All is good as far as radio operation. Can't say quite the same for my hands after cramming them in places under the dash they should not be!
While finishing up this project I discovered it is very important to get the carpet around the rear speakers back in properly. If the carpet is not tucked in correctly at the rear it will interfere with the operation of the cargo area shade. Check this during speaker install and it will save you a possible re-do.
Another item I addressed was the parking brake handle assembly while the drivers side door sill cover was off. I cleaned and lubricated the assembly and it is amazing how much smoother it works. This simple operation could prevent having a binding cable or handle assembly sometime in the future.

I always search the forum before doing a project looking for tips and ideas so I try to re-pay when I can.
I sent the complete speaker assemblys to Don instead of just the amps. I figured as long as they are out, might as well make sure all is good.

THAT is the very thing that makes the REGISTRY Club so important to -KEEPING THE LEGEND ALIVE. Sharing of information and techniques so as to develop a club of owners who can provide knowledge and expertise long after factory support has disappeared.
