Yeah, I think the next car to come up for auction after the ZR-1 was a 1969 GTO. It sold for $35.000. Sad day when a regular GTO sells for almost twice the price of a 1994 ZR-1.

Poor guy. He probably thought....no reserve - no problem, it's Barrett Jackson.....certainly it will bring top dollar.

Re: Admiral blue at Barrett Jackson
I wanted an Admiral blue so bad, such a beautiful and rare color. If only I had patience 3 years ago.......I paid that for my '91 with same amount of miles.

Re: Admiral blue at Barrett Jackson
Same here, I even thought about doing the auction circuit. One thing everyone is leaving off is the commission to BJ. If I remember correctly it's 8% from the seller and 10% from the buyer. They may have lowered the seller piece for a no reserve, but whoever bought it actually paid $20,350.

Re: Admiral blue at Barrett Jackson
Guys dont be fooled by cars that look super clean in pictures I went to one of these auction and they had a 91 9000 mile Z that was part of a collection that was just dogged in person car was a disaster look like it had 100000 miles on it but looked really clean in the photos. it sold for I think 21k to phone bidder felt sad for that guy.
