Default 1990 ZR-1 #1521

Hello all.

Just got my first ever Corvette.

Nice shape, only 50000km.

A cool side note I discovered the first time a read the owners manual. It has a very cool signature is the front!

A nice unexpected bonus, especially since the previous owner had no idea who he was. (Obviously didn’t deserve the car!)

It had the usual problems of the climate control not working right and 3 out of 4 Bose amps gone.

I’ve managed to get the climate control working and now 3 out of 4 speakers work. All with the help from posts on this forum!

Lastly, can anyone help me with this chip:

At first I thought it said Z06, which puzzles me, but then someone pointed its 90Z upside down! Duh!

Anyway, who is Jerry Fons? A previous owner maybe?

Just curious about the chip as I don’t know if it’s the latest and greatest. I do know the skip shift is not active, nor is there a 1 to 4 light on the dash and the fans seem to turn on a lot when the gauge doesn’t read hot at all. Both things I know are things better chips have.

Oh, and I removed the superfluous ZR-1 badges someone had stuck to the fenders and the front!

Lol. That pic was taken in the garage of the PO when I was looking it over. I don’t think he ever put it in full power! Good eye, though!

Trust me, it’s always on!
