Any down side to drilling and plugging the rear diff for fluid changes?
Anybody crack one?? Oh the horror.

I used the drill and tap kit from Corvette Central, worked great, no issues.

It is worthwhile to do if for no other reason you get a complete drain of the original Differential Fluid

I wonder why it didn't come with a drain.

I added one via the kit a while back. I don't remember it being easy, but certainly not a big job.

The "official" kit comes with a template to help you drill in the right location.

Now if I could just fine those 1/8" anodized plugs I bought when I did my plenum......

1/8 inch Aluminum Allen Head NPT pipe plugs
