Input Shaft wear?
What do you guys make of this input shaft tip... After I pulled the trans I noticed that the pilot bearing (a roller bearing replacement) was installed slightly crooked. I measured a variance in insertion depth from one side to the other of .023 in. Here’s how the input shaft looks. Remember it has 180k miles on it. It is grenerally smooth when I run my finger nail over it.

Re: Input Shaft wear?
Crocus Cloth will clean it up just fine.
