Default Help jacking up the engine

I need to lift the engine up to replace the oil sensor. I took off both 18mm nuts from the bottom of the motor mounts, and jacked up the passenger rear of the oil pan like Marc explained in his technical information. The motor mount won't come loose from the engine crossmember. I tapped on the mount stud with a socket and a hammer while there was pressure on it from the floor jack, but it didn't help. Any tips to get the mount unstuck from the crossmember?

Still puzzled why the engine won't lift off of the crossmember.

Part of it is due to the C-beam. With the C-beam in place, the entire driveline is a rigid member & doesn't rotate at the differential. I don't recommend trying to lift the engine off the mounts unless the C-beam is removed.

I am not too far from you. I am just outside of Alma, AR.
Are you going to the Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend in October? It is my favorite show of the year.

That's a lot of work just to replace the Oil Pressure Switch. An alternate method is to simply remove the oil filter adapter that the Switch is on.

I used to go to Eureka Springs & always had a good time. Haven't been there in several years. Can't make it this year, but maybe next.... I hope!

Are there any gaskets or O-rings that need to be replaced if I pull the adapter?
