No full power mode
I recently inherited my father's 1990 ZR1. Everything seemed to be working correctly except the occasional FX3 hiccup. After a couple weeks of driving I have run into some ABS issues. I am waiting on a lateral accelerometer to fix the last code. I did notice when my "service ABS" light came on the "engine full power" light stopped lighting up. I've tried switching the key on during hard acceleration and nothing. I hear all the normal pumps and relays activate at startup. I've also checked the switch to make sure it's operating correctly and it is. Should the "full power" light come on during bulb check? Is it possible for the ABS codes to have disabled full power mode? Any help you all may be able to provide will be very much appreciated.

Re: No full power mode
Are you able to get the engine rams up to about 6800? or does she run out of steam sooner?

Re: No full power mode
No problem getting the RPMs up. Even in a higher gears. Just doesn't pull nearly as hard as she used to.

Re: No full power mode
Maybe I should rephrase that. RPM gain does slow down before 6800. Still pulls but definitely running out of steam like you said 32valvesftw

Re: No full power mode
These engines should pull pretty steady all the way to red line

Re: No full power mode
Drive it without the accordion between the air filter housing and the throttle body. If that fixes it your accordion is collapsing. Just had that on mine. Felt like the secondaries were not working. Could be many other things but it's best to start with the simple things.

Re: No full power mode
No accordion and same result. At least that's one possibility ruled out. Thanks for the post.

Re: No full power mode
Good news. Figure it out. My fuel pump was not able to keep up and was running at just over half power. New pump and filter. No more errors and the acceleration is back
