Thought I had a short cut- backfired. Over the years I learned of a trick to
replace the hard to find/expensive cam cover emblems. The horn button emblem for early year C4's is the exact same design, much easier to find and not as expensive. You just have to chop off two posts on the back and trim them back a bit. They epoxied perfectly into the cam cover emblem recesses and looked great. Then one day I look to find the checkered flag and chevy symbol is gone leaving just the metal emblem base glued to the cam cover. Check the other side and I see it is there, but warped. Assessment: the emblem base is metal but the art center is plastic and MELTED and fell off! So, probably have to spring for the real thing. ![]() |

I thought that those emblems were NLA?? We can still buy them from the general?
Guess I'll look on my CD for the P/N & do a search at P & G. ![]()

Tom, they are NLA. I saw a set on ebay go a few weeks ago for around 100.00. At least they still show up once in a while.

Welcome zr-1assassin to the ZRONERS and so glad your ever so happy. My first C4 was an 84 than came the Z. The orig owner of mine was from MO and a MO sticker is still in the windshield along with the second owners Chicago sticker on the other side!!!
