Default First a Sinkhole Now a Solar Eclipse

Figured I would post this here since there is a current thread discussing the sinkhole and did not know where else to post it.

God must be a Porsche fan. First the sinkhole nails the dome. Now next year in August, the museum is virtually under the apex of a total eclipse of the sun. So I am headed to the museum the day before just in case the eclipse becomes a second cataclysmic event.

The plan is to drive out from Southern California. Take in the museum and factory the day before. Next day find a place to stand for a few minutes and look up. Then off to Chicago and drive back to LA via Route 66 over the course of a week or so.

A wonderful opportunity to drive across America. And I would love to meet some of you along the way.

George

I have been through Oatman. Corvettes were made for this strech. Also on a few other stretchs over the years. My high school was on route 66. Another stretch of dead end was north of town. A great place to open the secondaries.

Jeff. You are on!

George,
I'm just 3 miles south of 66 in Edmond, OK. Let's try to meet @ Pop's in Arcadia. Let me know when you will be here!

Great idea George! Also if cloudy/rainy you won't feel a wasted trip. Anyway, you can spurt over to clear skies based on weather forecast that day.

I just drove Denver-DC and still battling the perma-grin. The Z is made for long trips!
