Smile Maintenance of older 1993 zr1 with 8600 miles

Bought recently from a collector with many cars, however had no official documentation of service records. I understand about the coolant, that being the green stuff, but most importantly someone that knows how change with correct amount. Any recommendations or guidance to find information on the remaining fluids would be appreciative. Thanks Paul

Welcome to the site!
Any info you want to know about these cars is on the site. Go to "Solutions" in this Technical Postings section and there is more info on there then you can read. And if something isn't there - someone here will know. Happy site surfing!

With regard to FLUIDS, on the ZR-1 Net Registry Home site, under INFORMATION, TECHNET, FLUID RECOMMENDATIONS, all are listed with the amounts.

ONE update MIGHTneed to be required, regarding the xmission oil: TWS 10W-60 is no longer available, at least from some sourses. This is a relatively recent development and everyone's data needs to be refreshed, I recon. Something else needs to take its place. But, in the mean time, Marc Haibeck recommended I use Red Line Heavy Shockproof Gear Oil (synthetic) in its place. It seems to be working just fine - maybe a bit better (i.e., smoother shifting) than the TWS.

I just bought 5 qts of genuine TWS about 2 months ago online. It was like $14 a qt as well which is what I paid at the BMW dealer the first time I got it. ECS Tuning had it... Just in case someone wants it...
