Default Finally installed the Momo wheel and NRG quick release

Well, I first I was supposed to go to the Vegas Gathering but had to cancel due to training for work at Fort Lewis. Then due to continuing resolution and no budget for the government my training was cancelled on Monday. So I had some time to install the steering wheel components purchased about 3 years ago while in Japan.

Here is the install link I used:

http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...tall-96-a.html

It takes about an hour to do if you have everything on hand. The NRG like other quick releases has two levers that you pull forward toward driver and there is a safety button to release the wheel. It provides an added theft deterrent as well as very easy to enter and exit the vehicle.

I purchased the parts from Crowder Customizing and Jason Howard knows his stuff to provide tech support or advice about different hubs. They also give military discounts.

NRG SRK-170H hub adapter (matte black)
NRG SRK-200BK QR adapter (matte black)
SRK-101MB Quick lock (matte black)
Steering wheel of your choice

Here is after the install with NRG hub locked.

Momo Competition wheel installed.

Another angle to show the NRG hub and quick release.

With the help of a post on the other forum, it made it so easy to install and no air bag light with the addition of a resistor. The horn works great too. I love the look and feel of this size wheel and grip, as well as the position of the wheel is just right now.

Thanks for your thoughts Russ! I do love it and can't believe I waited so long when it is so easy to install.

Very nice Craig.
Do you have the Link for the "other forum"?
By quick release you mean you can pop the steering wheel off quickly?
What is the source for that Steering Wheel?

Thanks Cliff! Sorry, here is the link to the other forum and install:

I purchased the parts from Crowder Customizing and Jason Howard knows his stuff to provide tech support or advice about different hubs. They also give military discounts. I went with the short hub listed on the install link:

http://www.crowderscustomizing.com/

NRG SRK-170H hub adapter (matte black)
NRG SRK-200BK QR adapter (matte black)
SRK-101MB Quick lock (matte black)
Steering wheel of your choice

Best wishes,
