Default What's this tube on my OBX Header (Passenger side)?

I bought a lightly used set of OBX headers and they are somewhat installed.

On the passenger side there is a tube and I'm not sure what it's for, and what I need to do with it. It's 3-4" long, about .75" diameter, attached to one of the primary tubes, pointing towards the front of the car.

I can post a pic if necessary.

I have removed the air pump, so if it's related to that, I guess I need to plug it. If so, any suggestions on how folks have plugged it (other than removing the header and welding a plug)?

Thanks.

It's probably for the air pump. I believe a 3/4" NPT (pipe) plug will fit. - Steve

Russ, is that just left open?
Doesn't look threaded. Not sure how you'll plug that.

You're right, there are no threads. I could create threads but I'm probably going to remove the header and plug the hole via weld.

That would certainly be the best option.

Why wouldn't you just "sweat" an appropriate cap over the tube or in the tube so as not to defeat it's purpose if resale ever became something you desired?

I'm not too familiar with "sweating", but that's probably a good idea (to save the functionality). Thanks. I'll ponder how I might do that.
