Carlisle "25th Anniversary of the ZR-1"
Well Carlisle is the celebration of 25 years but actually all '90 ZR-1's are well beyond the 25 years.
I thought that maybe it would be interesting to see how many '91 ZR-1 Corvettes might be achieving the 25th during the event. I would say that if you have a VIN of 037 or less your '91 ZR-1 is also 25 years old or older this month. If you have VINs of 007 through 037 they likely have builds that correlate to the event dates. VINs and builds aren't consecutive but these look appropriate. There is an exception it appears though, 008 looks to be 24 Aug. Are there any of the very early '91 ZR-1 owners that are planning on attending? Anyway I guess it's nearly time to celebrate your 25th. I did this using SPID information so it's difficult to document "as fact" but I'd think close or appropriate. If you have an early '91 VIN you might want to check the Certification Label" on the drivers door and prepare to celebrate. In '90 **31 Aug was a Friday and I didn't see any builds at first glance. ** In '90 Labor Day was 3 Sept so that might explain the VIN break with 038 appearing as 4 Sept. Friday everyone was prepping for the holiday!! Last edited by WVZR-1; 08-25-2015 at 12:50 PM. |

Re: Carlisle "25th Anniversary of the ZR-1"
I noticed some information that was posted quite some time ago regarding #008.
OP at the time claimed 1st '91 sold, GM show car at North America Auto Show as an "introduction". Also claimed it to be a "Pepsi Cola Giveaway". #'s 8, 13, 27 and 31 appear to have been registered to Registry owners previously. |
