Anyone have a spare tire delete bar I can buy?

This was a option for later cars with EMT's. It was a seperate option from the runflat's. It was RPO N84

What's the benefit of it over, say, an empty spare tire tray? It looks like it would be heavier and maybe possibly less "clean" to air passing under?
