Here are a few pics from this years annual Corvette show at Myrtle Beach. Myself along with 2 other forum members, Paul Walk and his 93 LSV, and Brad with his super clean 90 Z had a great day with a couple hundred other Corvettes!

Awesome pictures Jim......that's a great looking group of ZR-1's!
We represented very well! It still amazes me how many people know nothing about these cars. One point of interest was a gentleman from Charlotte that I met. He had a burgundy restomod 1960, and was also the owner of a 1990 Charcoal Metallic 90 ZR-1. He was a retired Quality Engineer/Gearhead. He made sure and told me out of the four-five corvette's he currently owns, the ZR-1 remains his favorite corvette to drive....He said it's a blast! |

This particular car has had an indelible impact on my life. I saw and rode in it in 1995 when Larry Merow owned it. I had a nice Corvette at the time that was not a ZR-1. My infatuation with Corvettes started well before Larry and this particular ZR-1. Several conversations and one ride in THIS car completely changed the way I had previously viewed powerful versus agile and comfortable street cars. I joined the ZR-1 Registry and by the end of the 1995 and bought my first ZR-1. I've owned one ever since. Paul, beautiful car. Enjoy!

Thanks for the complement and the note.
![]() I am extremely fortunate to have had the GT find its way from Larry to Frank and now to me. I have to pinch myself every time I sit in that seat to make sure I'm not dreaming. It is truly a wonderful piece of machinery and an excellent example of what John Lingenfelter could produce. Since Larry (with Phil DeJohn’s help!) and Frank took such good care of it before me, this beast has also become quite a show car as well.
