Chicago !/2 mile shootout: Important info...

The 1/2 mile shootout by WANNAGOFAST held June 21 & 22 is nearly upon us.

I'll post the email I got from Blake (below), but wanted to shout out to anyone that has purchased a race slot but cannot run for any reason, the deadline to sell the slot is tomorrow June 10th, according to the memo. However, I do believe if you don't run and don't sell the slot by the 6/10/14 deadline, you will be able to apply the ticket to the run in October. You'd have to confirm with Blake, but if you hold a ticket for the June race, but couldn't transfer it in time, and you wanted to transfer the ticket for the October event, you would probably be able to do that. But, like I said, you'd want to confirm that with Blake.

Well, even if you're not racing, I hope to see as many ZR-1s out there on JUNE 22 (Sunday) to cheer on those of us that will be running! Unless told otherwise, I'll bring the popup cabana and the ZR-1 banner. Remember to bring bag chairs and whatever soft drinks you need.

This is an opportunity to showcase the ZR-1s. So, if you can make it - even just to watch, it is an opportunity to meet and greet and BS and break bread with fellow BEAST enthusiasts! Hope to see ya there!

The time is approaching quickly for our June 21st-22nd event at Bult Field!
We are very excited and can't wait to meet each and everyone one of you.
That being said, there are some important things you need to know for driver check-in on both June 21st and 22nd.

DO NOT pre-fill out the waiver on our website, you will sign that on the morning of the event!

Please print, pre-fill out, and sign, the vehicle inspection sheet attached to this email (DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE ASSIGNED NUMBER, that will be assigned the morning of the event). That way you can present it to your tech inspector and it will save them some much needed time, as we will be inspecting 150 cars both mornings.

If there is anything questionable in regards to your vehicle's safety, etc., please replace it now and don't chance getting turned away because of an unsafe vehicle.
Also, please arrive between 6:15-7:00AM on June 21st and 22nd for driver check-in!! This ensures all vehicles will be inspected and that we will be ready to race around 8:30AM. Remember, Chicago is on CENTRAL TIME for those of you traveling from other areas.
Here is a little checklist you can use for things to bring to the event:
• DOT or SNELL certified helmet.
• Jeans
• Tennis Shoes, No Flip Flops!
• Go Pro's
• Portable Tool Set
• Air Compressor if necessary
• Pop-Up Tents/Chairs
• Cooler with drinks (Driver's lunch is free and we will have food vendors for your pit crew and guests!!).........ALCOHOL is not allowed! GRILLING IS PROHIBITED!
• Sunscreen!
• Cash for Race Fuel, Pit Crew and Guest Spectator Entry Fees.
• Be Ready to GO FAST!!

*Furthermore, if you are in the process of trying to sell your spot please know that the last day to do this is tomorrow, June 10th...........this is the day we finalize the roster and cannot go back and make anymore edits!! It's simply too time consuming and we have to switch gears to other event efforts.
