Photo request
Can anyone send me a photo of their engine bay for reference? In particular I would like a photo showing the space between the radiator shroud and the motor as a reference (having the frame bumper horns tweaked on Saturday).
Thanks in advance! Email: Written to thwart grazing. Use "@" and (.) traineng (at) hughes (dot) net Paul.

I sent you one that I had on my phone. My car is in storage so it's the best I have. Hope it helps.

Re: Photo request
Thank y'all that sent the "cards n letters" (pix!)! I realize I could have been a little over-sensitive to the amount (or lack there of) space between the shroud and the motor - mostly concerned about the hoses, etc that are sandwiched in between. And, apparently, from the pix, it was for good reason. But! it isn't nearly as bad as I thought.
The pix have/will help immensely on Saturday!! Thanks everyone again! Paul.

BTW on the mail address term for obscuring the address from "grazing". I've always referred to it as "scraping" for addresses.

Re: Photo request
My big concern was the horns might have been bent back and upward slightly, pushing the radiator back, sandwiching the A/C canister and the various plumbing between the shroud and the motor.
Thanks to the photos y'all sent me (thank heaven for this FORUM!), what I thought was some smooshing in that area was actually about normal: I had it in my mind the A/C canister (for one example) was NOt tucked under the cross-over coolant pipe, as it IS (after all!). Well, apparently, the 'fulcrum' point where the horns bent were in the general vicinity of the motor mounts. I believe the horns ARE STILL bent ever so slightly, due to all indications, but not so much as I initially thought, nor anywhere near enough to affect the radiator/motor space to any important degree. So! The radiator/shroud etc, went together fine yesterday (Thanks, to Marc H for that tip on cutting a little corner modification to the shroud housing near one of the shroud's bolts). It's good enough to drive to the frame shop on Saturday, but once I crawled under the front end - fitting the various radiators to their respective rubber mounts - it is obvious all the radiators are going to have to come out again, to replace the bottom half of the shroud UNLESS I can fab up a mount to replace one that holds some of the air dam pieces in place. (I hate kluged "fixes", but this one is out of site and would just replace a support tab.) Making progress!

And there in lies the key. Good to see.
