Hi all!
So no sooner do I get the car back from the shop than does my passenger headlight dim up on me. I replaced the bulb and cleaned the closest grounding point to it, I believe it's listed in the FSM as G116. It still shows as dimmer than the driver's side. Sometimes the brights indicator on the instrument cluster remains lit at all times, even when I am not using brights. Also, the high beam does not seem to work on the passenger side of the car. Is it what I am dreading? You all think this could be the stupid dimmer switch or is there another easy check I am missing? |

Need a clarification there 3arms... (edit: ok - SOMEtimes when you're OFF hi-beams, you have hi-beam indicator. You need to CATCH THAT CONDITION IN THE ACT) If you can catch it in an 'ALL TIMES LIT' scenario, as in lit when it should not be, your diags will be easy. Electricity is like water. Where it IS, that is should NOT be, is easy to track (which you have, sometimes, all the time (???) ). But where it is NOT, that it SHOULD be, is more difficult to determine... This is a negation - harder to prove/try/diagnose. Last edited by Schrade; 01-16-2014 at 07:31 PM. |
