No more painting Plenum and Cam Cover Letters
Checking interest.
I am currently working with a company on high temp stickers that would be used to fill in the "CORVETTE" on the cam covers as well as on the Plenum. The stickers are good to 360 degrees and would take the place of painting. Let me know if there is interest. Thanks Lee

Lee:
Do we get a choice of color for the plenum stickers? I prefer the 4 and the 32 in red and the Cam and Valve in black. The Corvette on the cam covers in black of course. Any idea of price? 'Crabs

Re: No more painting Plenum and Cam Cover Letters
Goal is something 3D that fills the lettering

Re: No more painting Plenum and Cam Cover Letters
Not interested. (but I can see how others might be).
I struck upon a painting technique that I like very well, giving a true 3D "fill". The issue of hand painting is the masking; either by brush or especially sprayed. The "trick" is to hand brush the bottom and sides WITHOUT MASKING, and then "trimming" the letters with a Q-tip dampened with acetone (fingernail polish remover) as much as necessary to trace the lettering, leaving a perfectly clean "cut" lettering. Easy-pleasy! That said, for those not so inclined, a glue-in decal might be just the ticket! Your mileage may vary. P.

Re: No more painting Plenum and Cam Cover Letters
that is one nice engine detail. I live in homestead florida, 30 mins south of miami and I dont know of anyone who would do this kind of work. I would be happy just to have someone take off the plenum and cam covers so I can send them out. My closest pro is in south georgia, aaron scott. I dont have the tools, experience or space to do this myself. I will look around and see what I find. I envy those of you who do such beautiful work. Congrats. ed ramos #3028

Re: No more painting Plenum and Cam Cover Letters
I think that would be awesome. If it's available in different colors I'm definitely interested. Only if you make one for the emblem spots too though
