Spark Plugs/Wires
1)With my top end off, I removed the spark plugs:
denso iridium IT20's and after only about 2k miles I was surprised to see them all dark black "carbon-y". Think I should go hotter to IT16's? Gapped @ .050 2)About 60K on the original LT5 spark plug wires. Think I'll throw them away. Put your tongues back in- only kidding. I have a set of Taylor 8.0mm wires. Anybody use these before? How do they compare to, say, Magnacore? TIA Ted Feder |

2.) I installed the Red MSD wires...they are a little long (hid the extra length under the plenum) but they look nice. The Taylor wires are good wires too. Then again...so are the Magnecores. Bottom line...if you buy some good quality wires that look nice to you...they will be good. Most of the high quality wires out there will be far beter than the stock wires. After 60K miles...I would change them too....and of course save them...for the NCRS fellas. I have a set saved too...with 20K miles on them. Uly
