Mason-Dixon Mustang/Corvette event result
The weather was great and once again the ZR-1's were the main Corvette presence (one C6 'vert also ran the 1/4 mile).
Phil turned a 12.08 @ 117 in his own car, and piloted David's car to a 12.55 @ 114. I think that's a PB for both cars? Mike got a PB 12.36 @ 114 in his. I think Rich's best was a 12.99, though I didn't see all his runs. Charlie and Nelson diced it up a few times, each turning in times in the 13.1-13.2 range (sorry if I didn't get your best times). Feel free to chime in anyone to correct my recollection of the times. And of course to add any pictures, videos, or stories. Here's some crummy cell phone pictures and video: And some videos: http://aurora40.dyndns.org/masondixo...427_090930.mp4 http://aurora40.dyndns.org/masondixo...427_091637.mp4 http://aurora40.dyndns.org/masondixo...427_093044.mp4 http://aurora40.dyndns.org/masondixo...427_105243.mp4

Great pics. Wish I could have been there. Getting the "Honey Do" list done before BG!

Bob,
Good seeing you again and thanks for posting the photos and video. What better way to spend an absolutely gorgeous Saturday morning than at the track with your Z brothers. This is probably the last time down the track for my 350 motor and she saved her best for the final run. To bad I had to make that pass alone. Would have much more prefered to have showed another one of those new 4 cam equine speedsters what the old LT5 can still do but none lined up.

Another great day with my Z buddies!
Great to see you Bob. Once I am done w/ brakes I will make offer on the spare. Tomorrow I have to tend to my leaky rad... It's a good excuse to clean under the hood and wheel wells. |

Charlie, I was the guy with the black ZR-1 parked next to you. I am VERY pleased you are getting new tires. Now that you won,t be spinning those rock hard ten year old goodyears I would say you will definately be looking to improve your e/t. Nice meeting you and I hope you didn't take offense when I said "throw those tires in the trash" I was only half kidding but I am glad that you are investing in new shoes. You won,t regret it.

Re: Mason-Dixon Mustang/Corvette event result
No offense at all--just good advice! When Yun read out the date code and said two were 10 years old and two were 11, time to get new shoes!!!!
Just purchased the car last year and tires looked good but I should have paid attention to the date codes on them. I never checked them. I am waiting on a call back for some new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2.
