Default Rear hatch drain hose question.

I was thinking about installing these because of all the water that puddles there after washing the car. I'm not to keen on drilling holes though. I was just wondering from anyone that's installed them how satisfied they are with them and if it was worth installing them.
Thanks,
Joe

If you pop the hatch, you'll see a small channel between the weatherstripping and the gas cap door (at least it's like that on my 1990) for water drainage. If your talking about the corners towards the front, I just stick the corner of my shami in there, when drying, to soak up the water. You could drill a hole if you want. But I'd be cautious about drilling holes anywhere.

Thanks for the reply to both you and Jeff. Yes, I am talking about the corners toward the front. They sell a drain kit but I'm a little leary about drilling holes in the body. I use a chamois also but mine doesn't dry it totally. The link below shows the kit I'm referring to.
Take Care,
Joe

Don't drill any holes. Just swipe your wife's turkey baster
when she's not looking...
Works great!

I thought about that too or using a plastic 60cc syringe.
Thanks,
Joe

Actually, I use the turkey baster to suck the water out of the hood lock holes. Thanks Doug, now it has another use.

Steve
Don't put it back in the kitchen drawer.
Your T-giving turkey may taste funny...
