Default Will a bose radio system from a 1993 install in a 1991 ZR-1?

I managed to buy a Bose radio system from a 1993 wrecked vette (probably non-zr-1) for install into my 1991 zr-1. I bought it with an aftermarket radio and speakers and want to return to stock. Does anyone know if the radio will fit and if the harnesses will be compatible? I know the radio color is darker though. It has all speakers and amps, the radio, and the control box. I need to take everything to work and clean everything with compressed air after I disassemble everything.

I think the harness in the car was hacked and the plugs for the front speakers from the control box are gone, so I plan on getting them from a parts yard here in florida from a 1990 wrecked zr-1. BTW, the car still has the engine for sale. Thanks everyone.

Most likely the radio will be interchangeable.
Check and make sure you have a CDM ALSO.

You need Section 8 of the '91 FSM to make sure you get all the connections correct if the original harness was hacked. Pray the CDM is still there because it's a real b!tch to replace.

The fsm doesn't show what the harnesses look like, or if they are compatible. I have been looking through it and all it shows is wire colors.

If the '91 harness is intact, all of the '93 parts are plug in and play. If the '91 CDM module is still there the '93 radio head and speakers will work with it.

Note that some hack audio installers cut the connectors off the speaker connectors at the CDM module. If the installation of the radio head and the speakers does not work, inspect the right side of the CDM module.

Thanks for the reply. BTW, I am enjoying your ECM chip!

I like the double din PIONEER 3300DVH DVD player. it has plenty of power, backup camera, USB ports, IPOD, etc. I put in new wiring and new speakers to just get rid of all the BOSE nightmare. I drove the car for years with NO radio. It fits in the stock bezel, with NO cutting. Sounds FANTASTIC!
