Usually not too hard to fix yourself.
With the engine running, does the FULL POWER indicator come on when the POWER key is turned on? (The switch is either a momentary on; quarter-turn to the right before springing back, or "clicks" and remanins in the FULL POWER position when turn a quarter turn to the right, depending on the model year.) The secondaries are turned on when vacuum is applied to the vacuum actuators which in turn open the throttle plates. On startup, vacuum is supplied to a reservior under the plenum by a pump in the right side headlight well. After 5-10 seconds, or when the engine starts, the vacuum chores are assumed by the plenum vacuum, in normal driving. Provided there are no alarms (e.g. "SES" lights) and certain rpm, temperature, and throttle demands are met, the ECM will signal the vacuum solinoid switch, transfering vacuum form the reseroir to the mechanical vacuum actuators. See schematic below... This should give you an idea of what's what and how to proceed - assuming you are in the mood to tackle it yourself?? Let us know... P.

It was not working when I replaced the Injectors last summer. Some of The injectors were bad because I didn't use full power enough to keep them clean. I thought the secondary was not working because of the injectors. I replaced them with new ones. While I had the plenum off I checked for vacuum leaks and actuator function. okey there. Replaced vacuum solinoid while I had the top off the motor. The vacuum pump is good and works ok. I made sure everything was hookedup and put the plenum back on. Under normal power it runs ok. When you turn the power key on, the light comes on but the actuators do not open and It dosen't have secondary power. The same thing it was doing before I replaced the injectors. I think I need to have a diagnostic check done on the motor. There must be a sensor or something Not working. Has anyone had this happen if so what was the repair? Your assistance is greatly appreciated..Route 66

Yes, Thanks... I said yes . Are you talking of the sensor at the back of the plenum? If so then yes.
