Re: Anyone for a boat cruise?
I heard there was lawyers at the docks, drooling.
I heard one of the (70) buses broke down, taking passengers from the [un-scheduled] port, to [where-so-ever (original final port?) ]. Wonder if any lawyers met THAT bus$?$?$?$ News story was that foreign registry of cruise ships might limit lawsuits under USC (United States Code ( of law) ). HMMmmm... Sure doesn't seem to stop the Fed LEO agencie$ from involvement into foreign affairs of OTHER sorts... How do I invest for a return on THAT???

Re: Anyone for a boat cruise?
I've been on several Carnival cruises. Never a problem or smell of
smoke. Well except that one time when I smelled the wacky weed smell coming from the crew quarters.

Re: Anyone for a boat cruise?
This ship has diesel engines (not mine) driving generators which provide electric power to ship "hotel load" and the electric propulsion motors which drive the propellers and thrusters. I hear the engine room fire started when one of the main diesel generators caught fire. Unfortunatly the shipbuilder ran the main power distrubution cable right above the burning generartor set which completly wiped out power to the rest of the ship. The little emergency generators were only big enough to provide power to the ships emergency systems.

Re: Anyone for a boat cruise?
And, there's still an upsidedown ship off the coast of Italy. This can't fare well for the cruise industry.
