Help with a part number
Anyone know the part number for 1994 console (rubber coated plastic console around the shifter)? Ash tray cover?
Thanks. |

If you find the ash tray cover on its own please post a link. I have only been able to find the entire console frame for $135ish.

Re: Help with a part number
Yun, I bought some spray paint, rattle can stuff, from corvette central in the C4 section to repaint my radio bezel and ash tray door and it worked fairly well.
Obviously prep & spray technique is key. I used rubbing alcky as a cleaner, regular scotch tape to mask off the lettering with a utility knife to trim the tape, and then made at least 5 passes with the spray. I guess I would say my spray technique was to do very light & semi-dry coats so I could watch the 'build'??? I was about 12" to 16" away. I wanna say 12" on the first pass, then moved out a bit at a time on the rest of the passes with not much waiting after the first pass. It is a fairly good match in both color and texture. I know where I painted so I can tell, but I doubt anyone else can pick it out without close examination. Tom
