Default Some stray shots of the auto...

I got only the front end in the air, and shot one-handed.

Hard to see much, except for some transmission fluid . More elevation tomorrow, with some close-ups...

If anything looks awry, sound off; I need to know how close to look here...

Did they not even install a torque converter cover on the trans? Or did you remove it for the pictures?

They put no cover on the TC. $1k for that lavender gem, AND PETE's flexplate, and no protection . Nice work.

At the local shop today, the tech gave me a plastic cover. It would not dry-fit into place - the cats blocked it.

I think that if the plastic cover is split in half, each half will mount securely, perhaps with a tie plate in addition, since it's not load-bearing.

And that hole in the floorboard should be oval. With a securing strap securing it - one inside, one outside. Nice work.

When i installed my auto(4l8OE) it left no room for transmission cover. The
Jeal headers came to close to the bell housing of the 4l8OE. Plus it
helps with the cooling of the converter. Have been running without trans cover
since Aug. 2004 no trouble. There is a putty that plumbers use that stays soft
but will seal up holes in your floor.
