No,
It looks like its your transmission controller and wiring.I hid mine in my glove
box. I used a transmission control unit by Compushift .

Nice grommet. They'll never fit a grommet in there, until they sharpen their hammer a little more.

The controller is for the automatic transmission that just went in.

And I'm believing that the shop that did the swap did this. I'll know for sure tomorrow, when I follow the harness.

And this is new too:

It looks like that yellow wire has been pinched almost to the point of being cut off. Look at the indentation in the wire right before it disappears.

A good observation.

If the "yellow" is a "sleeve/sheath" over existing other wires yes it is an SIR related harness. If it's a stranded wire just yellow in color it was more likely just a poor color choice. If it is SIR in a '90MY the DERM/SIR is top of tunnel and is "orange" in color, harnesses in and out are yellow sheathed. Just follow the yellow to where it's terminated.

Were you provided with the hand-held unit that accompanies the TCU controller? Here's a link to the install sheets for the TCU unit I believe you have. I was attempting to ID the loose connector on the floor board. Does it need attention? Don't know!

Yes Sir Bob, and I am VERY familiar with airbags. Today at the tranny shop, with the Tech 1 plugged in, it started fading in, and out INF RES (or something)...

I hit one @ 55 once - 55 - 0 in ZERO, ZERO exaggeration - it's all on the report, head on with drinker, also going 55+, SQUARE.

Still broke 6 ribs on the steering wheel, 3 bilateral in the pattern of the wheel (amongst other 'breakage') WAH
