Another hiker becomes grizzly lunch.
This is what happens when you push your luck. This is why I don't go hiking in grizzly bear country. Why I don't go surfing where great white sharks cruise. Why I don't skydive. This guy paid the ultimate price. I really feel sorry if he has a wife and kids.

Man Rhip, I am soooo doomed ! I am supposed to go backpacking from Nam - Cambodia - Burma early next year , then back pack Alaska too and while near Alaska a friend lives in Washington State and we're supposed to go base jumping.
Smith 500 will stop the grizz, sticks and stones might get us thru Burma etc , But Base jumping Might be rough if theres a sudden stop.. |

They are a big powerful beautiful animal and I'd love to see one in Yellowstone from a distance. But youd better have a .338 Remington ultra mag or bigger. I just can't get over the size of some of these Grizzlies.
