Long ago and far away someone (AO Engineering?) made/had instructions to install 3 in 12v dc computer fans in the inner fenders Any body still have the instructions? Bought 2 tonight at radio shack to try. I would have gone with the 120mm units as some of them can get 150+ cmf but there is not enough room on the inner fender, the biggest looks to be 3in or 80mm.

I had some of Frank Yunes' (A.O. Eng.) promotional material for the fans. It came with the purchase of a "Forced Air" system. I can't seem to find it now. I think it was re-prints from "Corvette Fever", or "Vette" magazine.
If there's a way to search their archives, I'm sure there are some write-ups, and pix in there, if not a test. If you've got a pile of those old mags around Tyler, start looking. But don't be like me and and try to read every article you come across ![]() |

Tyler,
I had my car up on my lift the other day and checked the wiring for my a/o fans. The kit (two fans, instructions and wiring harness) is wired to the primary fan with a t-type plug. out of the plug there are 4 wires. two black and two red that go to the left front side of car. At that point they split into two groups one goes to the left side to the fan or fans, and the other one goes to the right side to feed that fan or fans. hope this helps John Becker 1990 white/black #2546 one of a few auto(4l80E) eq zr-1's |

Tyler ...
I'll be interested in seeing your pics once you get your setup going. Sounds like it might be a good "how to" write up. I know you're 4-5 hours south of me but you might have some cool ocean breeze occasionally ... when it gets hot in Georgia (I'm 100 miles from the coast) it's really HOT ... year round sometimes and our engine compartments need all the help we can get. Sounds like a mod waiting to happen once someone provides good pics and a write up ... hint, hint. George |

Do these fans take air from the engine compartment and blow it into the frnder/gill area?
