Are you sure its your ECM?
CODE 34 Trouble Code 34 indicates that the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is detecting unusually high vacuum in the manifold. Possible causes include: 1. Faulty MAP-to-ECM connection 2. Defective MAP sensor 3. Defective ECM - Have you ruled out items 1 & 2? - Does it pass the self-test on power up (if when you pull the codes with a paperclip on the ALDL you get the flashing 1,2 three times - I believe this means the ECM self-test has passed) - ECM's are not that common to find ( I may be in the market for one myself...) |

THANKS gbmidyear.
The code 34 Im getting is not from the SERVICE ENGINE SOON. It is set in the LTPWS which the code 34 is the left rear tire. I cant get the ECM to clear that code no matter what I do to clear it. It seems to be in permanent memory. I can't understand why. I thought I would try a new ECM if I can find one. |

I don't think your issue is with the ECM, the LPTWS systrem has its own conrol module which you can reset.
I believe you can clear the LPTWS codes by grounding pins on the ADLC (under dash in front of driver) terminal 6 to 5, three times in ten seconds (with ignition ON, car not running). The control module should confirm that its memory has been cleared by lighting both the "L0W/FLAT TIRE" and "SERVICE LTPWS" lamps at the same time. |
