Id like to pick up an extra set of brake calipers and have them powder coated and I know somebody parting out a base 95 Coupe.How much of the brake hardware is the same as ZR-1 brakes.Something about J55 rolling around in my head.Im looking at putting together a complete set with brackets.What do I need and how much from a base car is compatible?Thanks.

Jeff I believe the 95 Has the J55 HD hardware and calipers and abutment brackets are the same as our early ZR-1s. I believe this upgrade occured with the 94 MY up. Rears are the same as well as are the rotors.

Have you thought about going with the 96 GS/CE front caliper route so you get the correct corvette script logo? They are a direct fit as well

I think Daryll is correct, all years of ZR-1 brakes are the same as the J55 for any year base C4, I thought the upgrade occurred in 1995, however, not 1994, for the J55 to be standard.

Yeah I cant remember if 95 was the first year I just remember for sure that year was a J55 year for all C4s.

Thank for the tips guys.Daryll,I like the GS calipers but the backs look out of place and dont match the fronts otherwise thats what I would put on the car.The guy with the calipers isn't sure he wants to sell these from the suspension so I just might start looking for a set here pretty soon.

I have a front set of J55s Available and a Front set of painted 96CE calipers also available LMK
