Default Gojacks

Has anyone used or owns a set of Gojacks? Thinking of buying a set to help me move the cars around in the garage for more space.

I have seen different styles of wheel jack/dollies in the past. Want a product that is robust and easy to use.

I have been told you can keep the car on the dollies for extended periods of time without any damge to the tires, I do not know if this is factual or just a sales pitch.

Any first hand information is greatly appreciated.

I tried this once before and recieved no feedback so I will try again.

My wife wants her parking spot back in the garage so I need to pull the Z in and then push it as close to the wall as possible. Think that these gojacks would do the trick.

Does anyone use them?

Can you leave the car on them for weeks at a time?

Go-Jack by brand is a quality product. They'll do just what you want them to do. You'll be surprised at how effortlessly! You want to find a local vendor that does wrecker/roll-back/dolly supplies and parts. Most of them probably do Go-Jack by brand or a product that's it's equal. Price? I would think a "local" if asked might "price-match". I'd try to stay with the Go-Jack by brand.

You might be able to get a "test" before purchase from a "local"!

I've a friend that uses them and cars stay on them for weeks. Is it wise? Don't know. I don't know that most Go-jacks have a brake on them so you might need to lower a pair of wheels to put the tire on the ground to keep the car situated.

I have a set made by OTC and seem like a quality product, I'm able to store 3 cars in a 2 car garage by using the go jacks. Some have the poly or plastic wheels but are harder to move, steel wheels seem to work the best.

Do a google search before you buy, lots of information and feedback available to help you with your decision.

I have to ask, what does OTC mean? I see that model 6200 will handle tires to 13" in width.

OTC is a specialty tool supplier to OEMs and I believe is a division of SPX which Kent-Moore is as well. If it's an OTC product it certainly should be considered "1st line". Domestic or import? Don't know!

I believe the 6200 is a GoJak product and does 13".

OTC might be a 1580 and do 12" tires.

Erv, tires are pretty tough, and I don't think it'd cause permanent damage to leave the car on these for a while. Tires can deform from sitting in one position for a while, and the Gojacks might accelerate that, but to how significant a degree, who knows? Never tried these myself, so I'm speaking purely on conjecture.

Be carefull with the width of the rollers. I tried using them on my ZR1 rear tires and they are not wide enough to release and get the low jacks back out from under the tires. Had to use a floor jack. Test drive first!!

There's models I believe that will do 13" but you're right you need to "test drive" or "check"! I suggested in my first post - "TRY LOCAL"!! It pays to shop "LOCAL"! This is or would be a convincing example!

I have a set of skates that I left my 69 on for several months and saw no damage to the tires. They allowed me to put 3 cars in my 2 car garage.
