Default Tensioner Question

While I was replacing the water pump, I noticed that the tensioner pulley is sounding a bit dry.

After exahausting the search function, I've learned that the tensioners can also loosen up over time.

So is there a tensioner assembly available anywhere?? The sources that were quoted in past threads are no longer available.

Worst case, new pulley/bearing I guess.

Thanks for the help,

When I bought my car, the seller had a tensioner for it in a box in one of the back storage bins. He knew it was going out. I just had it installed a couple weeks ago and no more squeaky belt!

The Corvette shop that did the work for me tells me the parts are available, but pricey. In other words, I was fortunate to have that part!

New pulleys w/bearing are available Dayco PN 89003, and will cure the vast majority of problems. The tensioner is not available as new.

Thanks Jerry.

I will try to track one down and get it put on while the car is decommissioned. Another cold snap has hit with -37c temps, so plenty of time for a new pulley to arrive.
