Does anyone know the bore diameter, and stroke for our clutch masters?
Since I am putting this thing in the 71 gto I need to convert my manual setup over to hydraulic (obviously) and am going to order a master to bastardize and make a separate billet reservoir for ease of access. If anyone has these numbers it will save me from having to order a factory replacement, and save me a little bit. TIA |

11/16" is the bore. I do not know the stroke length, sorry.

Thanks. I guess I am going to machine an adjustable rod for this thing, then it really doesn't matter what the throw is. Besides that I am going to make a new clutch fork out of billet. I am a little concerned with the material the clutch fork is made of. This thing looks like with just a little over travel it could bend, and create all kinds of issues.

As I understand the situation with the fork is it is the weak link. The tangs spread allowing the bearing to shift sideways.
Also, I'm looking for the thread where a guy is putting an LT5 into a C2. He had to eliminate the OE slave and go to a C5(?) type release bearing. I wanted to post a link, but I cna't seem to locate the thread over at CF/zr-1 section. I figured I would give you the heads up anyway and when I find the thread I'll post a link. ![]() Tom

I certainly appreciate the input, and link, but I am going to hack the pans, and tunnel in my car, so clearance will not be an issue. My car started life as an auto, so I am doing a full conversion over. I bought a bracket from S&P to mount the clutch master, and was basically just needing how far the rod moved in on the stock zr1 master so I didn't put too much pressure, or not enough on the fork with my new setup. I think the answer to this is a threaded, adjustable rod which will allow me to adjust the throw to whatever it needs to be on my setup. That is a neat car, looks like a ton of time/effort went into it ![]() |
